Installation preparation
Before you begin
- Identify the board model and chip variant.
- Read the compatibility checklist.
- Prepare a data-capable USB cable and a stable power supply as specified by the board documentation.
- Close other applications using the device serial port.
- Open the firmware installer in a browser supporting Web Serial.
The detailed procedure depends on the board and release. This checklist does not replace the wiring instructions for a specific controller.

Start with the FAQ. Do not publish passwords, keys or full memory dumps when reporting a problem.
